Dr. Victoria Wilkins is a clinical psychologist who has worked on inpatient psychiatric units at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Westchester Behavioral Health Center since 2009. She has particular interest in working with individuals living with chronic medical illnesses, women experiencing perinatal and perimenopausal mood and anxiety disorders, and individuals coping with loss, especially perinatal loss. She supervises doctoral and postdoctoral psychology trainees in their clinical work in inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to her clinical work, she collaborates on research in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, mental health in the menopausal transition, and suicidality in mid- and late-life.
Dr. Wilkins earned her undergraduate degree from Ursinus College. She has a master’s degree in Psychology & Health from the University of Stirling in Scotland and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University. She received her Ph.D. from Drexel University after completion of her predoctoral internship at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. She received postdoctoral training in geropsychology at the University of Rochester Medical Center and in geriatric psychiatry research at the Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. She is certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International.
