Marianna Mapes-Harris

Marianna Mapes-Harris joined Strategies for Wealth in 2022 after working in nonprofit management for five years. That “opening act” of her career afforded her a deep understanding of housing and healthcare for older adults, and the challenges and opportunities facing the people who care for them.

Now, as a financial advisor, she works to build long-term, trusting relationships with individuals and families and help them design their lives with financial confidence. Marianna’s planning expertise centers on women and first-generation wealth builders. She also serves on the Strategies for Wealth management team as a Disability Income Specialist, guiding other advisors to help their clients protect their cashflow.

Marianna is a Californian by birth and an East Coaster by choice. She earned her degree in Philosophy and Classical Studies from Smith College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was captain of the rowing team. Marianna lives in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston with her wife, Rebecca, and hound mix, Matilda. She is an avid home cook, devoted crossword puzzler, joyful member of Temple Beth Zion. She is currently learning to play the ukulele, with mixed results.
